A 28 years old female patient presented with fever, chills, decreased urine output, offensive vaginal discharge and abdominal pain. One week earlier she had an abortion attended by non-medical personnel with metallic materials. The doctor found out that her blood pressure was 60/20mmHg, that she has altered counsciousness and a temperature of 38.9°c.
